Just a blurrrb for my blllllog..

Settling down for an afternoon siesta before a three day stretch of 12 hr night shifts followed by a glorious day off, then two more 12hr shifts...and WHY did I become a nurse again?  The funny thing is, I actually like nights...after nursing for 16 or so years I love what I do...I am also I big dreamer, Ms. Positive in a sea of negative and girl whose shoes fit perfectly...not always the case. Up until the last four years I wore shoes that did not fit. One day too small, rubbing blisters, annoying, painful, ugly, etc. The next day they would fit differently, but never ever comfortably.  My shoes were my life...trying to fit into something that was not me, not comfortable, and definitely not successful.  Then came the breaking point at which I kicked off those hideous shoes and put on the most comfortable pair of shoes I have ever had- I came out.  Not only was I married to a raving lunatic at the time, but I also had two precious children who only knew "mom" for mom...and they liked those hideous shoes I hid in.  I came out...out to my mom...out to my kids...out to whoever wanted to know...phewwwww...that was truly one small step for mankind but one GIGANTIC step for woman-kind....anyways...I grew up with swatch, still where swatch, and I am now introducing my kids to swatch...my daughter even wears multiples on one arm...kids ask her why and I told her to tell them because it's "Swatchy" where have you been?  It will catch on again..just like bellbottoms and platforms.  The good thing about today is everything is a "trend"...times have merged...60's into 70's into 80's into 90's- it all goes, and goes, and goes.  Anyways... I do have a partner and welcome all from all over.  And yes, it is great to be lesbian.
