Sailing through the Whitsundays
many seas ago i was on a boat called the whatever and it was an entry in the Americas Cup. this boat started on a voyage (sounds like gilligans island) around the Whitsundays from airlie beach. we had some marines, we had a few aussies we had a californian skipper and owner of the 12 metre yacht. i think it was called the Southern Cross and it had a BBQ on the stern where we cooked steaks on our stopover at Hamilton Island.
if anyone was on this trip let me know as i had kept a diary and as it was stolen one night in a pub it would be great to catch up or contact those of you as i have lots of pics of the trip.
i remember losing my sunnies overboard whilst helping people get back onboard the yacht at whitehaven and the two marines without me asking just dived in and retriieved them which i was grateful for and wish i could contact them.
